Remembering Our Blessings

Hello parents,

It's the end of winter (oh *please* let it be the end!) and personally, I'm feeling a bit worn out.  There hasn't been a decent break in a while and there doesn't seem to be one in the near future.  Day in and day out, I have to keep reminding myself WHY I'm hs'ing, WHY I'm doing my best to deal with behavior issues, and WHY I'm willing to give up some of that "Me Time" during my days.  I know that God has a plan for our family, for our children....it's just that, well, I need more reminders at certain times of the year!  This is one of those times~

So please, let's encourage one another today!  What are some of the *blessings* of home education?  What are the highlights of your day?  How has God shown you that you are still on the right track, that it's all worth it, and that ultimately, HE is in control??

Let's share a bit of light today for that hs momma that might be struggling (like me!) during this end-of-winter season.  How has God blessed you today??

When everything seems to be going wrong (such as waking up to a 2yob playing in the toilet with the plunger - GROSS!!), I was reminded today of the relationships my children are building with one another.

Today is the above 2yob's birthday - and my other four children made cards, sang to him, gave him special treatment at the dinner table, just oo'ed & ahh'ed over him in general. They honestly *love* their little brother, even while they are also learning how to be responsible with a young child and how to help Momma take care of him.

It is a blessing to see their friendships grow between brothers & sisters ~ LOVE IT!!

Hello. I started homeschooling my son after his 3rd grade year at Indian Woods (he is now in 5th.) I had no idea what I was getting myself into but I knew something had to change. I know God has led me to make this decission and it has been such a blessing. The most important change is that we now have time for an hour of bible study and prayer in our daily routine. Having Seth established in the faith has made the most difference in him. It is so amazing to see the change God is making in him and seeing his understanding of the things of faith just blossom. The sacrifice of my "me" time is well worth it.
